i apologize for the lack of updates here! it's probably the worst time for me to stop adding posts since there are floods all over eastern australia, and very near to here. i'm sure everyone's thinking that i'm in danger or drowning, but don't worry, i'm safe and dry! in fact, i didn't even know about any floods until someone from home asked if i was doing okay. i then turned on the news to see that they were quite a big deal. as of now, they're coming to and end and there is a lot of flood relief going on, and people travelling around, assisting in the rebuilding of cities. luckily for us, they missed the gold coast!
as to explain the no updates, my computer unfortunately died out of nowhere. so sorry, no more skype. i was able to save the information on it, so i have all of my pictures, which i'm very relieved about. but as far as posting more pictures, i don't know yet how i'm going to do that. the internet in the lobby at our building costs $2 for 15 minutes which is ridiculous, so i have to be hasty with anything i do online.
besides that, i've been working a lot at a restaurant called marmalade. i get about 40 hours a week, but the hours are long and i'm constantly standing on my feet. i hate it. but gotta make money somehow. we're planning on going to fraser island in a couple weeks. i'm excited to actually do something, to get out of this city for awhile!
